The reading is PWYC and features a Q&A with the writers afterward. Books are available for sale.

Alyssa Jane O’Dell (she/they) is a queer writer, musician, and regenerative farmer living on unceded, unsurrendered territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation near Ottawa. Her work has appeared in Queer Toronto literary magazine, IceFloe Press, The Monitor magazine, and The Globe and Mail.

Maria Giesbrecht is an award-winning poet and the author of A Little Feral (Write Bloody Publishing, 2026). Her writing has appeared in, or will appear in, Best Canadian Poetry, The Literary Review of Canada, Canadian Literature, Grain, The New Quarterly, and elsewhere.

Tyson Stewart is an author of the Teme-Augama Anishnabai and an associate professor of Indigenous Studies at Nipissing University. He has delivered numerous lectures and presentations on Indigenous noir in media, exploring the genre’s historical influences and the concept of biskaabiiyang (returning to ourselves). The Return of the Nish is his debut novel.

Emily A. Weedon is the author of Hemo Sapiens and Autokrator and the co-editor of Whatever, a Gen X anthology. She is a Canadian Screen Award winner for the webseries Chateau Laurier and an animation screenwriter. She hosts Drunk Fiction.
